I'm a Foodie and I also Play One on TV
I got a phone call last night from a producer at WNIT Public Television in Elkhart, Indiana. She ran across this blog and decided to invite me to appear on Open Studio, a show that introduces viewers to unique performers, artists, collectors and cooks." They would like me to talk about some places of culinary interest in Indiana and also to prepare a recipe.. The cooking segment is only five minutes and they have only a range. So, I'm trying to come up with something I could pull together in five minutes. I'm thinking about Crostini with Chevre, Caramelized Onions, and Mission Fig Marmalade (recipe here). I could have the crostini and marmalade pre-prepared and the onions almost completely done but finish-off while on the air and then assemble and plate. I plan to use chever from Indiana cheesemaker Capriole Farms. I tape on Sunday and the show will air on Thursday, March 23rd. They will be sending me a video tape and I'll try to get it digitized and posted on this blog.

Rachel Ray watch out because Scott Hutcheson is closing in on your empire. Good Luck Scott!

First Lisa, now Scott on Public Television? Now don't y'all go all Hollywood on me now.
That's great, Scott.
