Graber's Kountry Korner, Odon

GrabersIndiana may not have the picturesque rolling hills of Lancaster County, PA but we have our own great pockets of Amish and Mennonite-cultures. Graber's Kountry Korner has capitalized on this by launching an ever-increasing line of Amish-style foods. Their products are available at their Daviess County store, from retailers across the Midwest, and online. I picked up a couple of their products this week - an angel food cake, and peanut butter spread. Both were exceptional.

The angel food cake was sweet, light, and delicious. One of our favorite ways to enjoy angel food cake is topped with cherry pie filling and whipped cream. This is a great impromptu dessert when you don't have time to bake. Graber's version is plenty sweet so you might consider the "lite" version of the pie filling if you want to try this.

The peanut butter spread is very sweet too. If you are having it on bread, no jam is needed. I like it heated a bit and then used as an ice cream topping. A little of this goes along with some chocolate sauce on good vanilla makes for my favorite ice cream combo.

Check out Graber's website for a complete listing of all their products and for more details about the Kountry Korner.
