Pawn Shop Pub, Indianapolis
Hungry Hoosier reader Vicki had a chance recently to visit the new incarnation of the Pawn Shop Pub. Her are her reactions:
"Same GREAT food - try the beer cheese soup, chili or tenderloins - owners used to work for old pawn shop - same stuff on the walls AND Bells Beer on tap! I am in HEAVEN - you should go!"
Thanks for the recommendation Vicki. I can't wait to stop by. The Pawn Shop Pub is now located at 2222 East 54th. They can be reached by phone at 317-255-5430. I recent edition of Indianapolis Monthly's The Dish (see here) has some additional info about the new place.

Bob Diemer (one of the new owners) was a great manager/bartender and cook (maybe I'm biased, because I used to work there myself)
Glad to see it has reopened, and I can't wait to visit.

I really like the food at the pawn shop and often went to the old one before it closed. The main drawback is that such great food comes with a steep price. It can get very smoky in there and I didn't see any smoke eaters installed, whereas the old pawn shop had at least two that I could see.
