Late yesterday afternoon we returned from our quick anniversary trip to Cincinnati and headed over to friends to usher in the new year with them. It was a fun, low key evening. The kids played, until they tuckered out, and the adults played some games and ate some food. Today we went to church and we'll be relaxing the rest of the day. The minister asked us to consider a couple of questions today. Here are the questions and my answers. Feel free to share your own answers.
1) In 2005 what occurred in you life for which you are most grateful?
I would have to say it was the birth of Oliver. 2001 and 2005 will always be significant to me because they are the years in which our children were born. It has been a joy to watch him grow during his first year of life.
2) In 2006 how will you use your gifts and talents to contribute meaningfully to your community?
I call this blog "Food. Family. Community" because of my interest in the role food plays in our families and our communities. In 2006 I plan to do more food-related community work through efforts such as Shalom House - a free lunch program in our community.
