Award Shows

I love award shows. If I could, I would watch them all - Oscars, Emmys, Grammys, MTV Movie Awards, and on and on. I don't because I don't have the time. The only one I try not to miss is the Academy Awards. I used to go all out with snacks, making picks, etc. I've backed off the last few years. Last night I sort of half watched the Golden Globes while I did other things around the house. I'm not sure why I like award shows. I watch the Oscars because I really like films, so that makes sense. But I could enjoy the Grammys even if I didn't know most of the artists.

I've always thought someone would develop the "Award Show Network" to show old broadcasts of past award shows. I would love to see the Oscars from Hollywood's golden era. Wouldn't it be great to see Bob Hope as host?
